a. Note:   family legend is that she was supposedly a descendant of the famous churchman John Knox, but we have no
 evidence of that - (supposedly he was survived only by daughters) could be some collateral relation however.
 She may also be buried in parish Derrykeighan instead of Billy Parish?? (uncertain where this info comes from, it may just be an error because some family records mistakenly thought that Ballymacfin was in Derrykeighan parish) We don't know if John and Betty's graves were located by someone or if their burial locations are just family recollections.

 Betty probably had died before 1850 or so when the children apparently immigrated to the USA. Since son Daniel's wife, Matilda Morrow McConeghy had to return to Ireland between 1852 and 1857 to care for John McConeghy would seem to indicate that Betty had died prior to 1853
