Note: Somehow I previously had her birthdate as between June-July 1828 - I don't know where I got that. From the 1881 census age below she would have been born about 1819 but in the 1871 census she was supposedly 39, thus born about 1832 ??? but 1851 and 1861 ages would give birth about 1829

Matthew's age was given as 31 in the on-line transcription but that is obviously an error the correct age was probably 51.
William Mewburn is given as "brother" but he would have been Margaret's brother, so he would have been "brother-in-law"
Grace Mewburn, is given as "sister-in-law". They were Margaret's older brother and sister
"U" stands for "unmarried".

I originally thought that Mewburn was a mistranscription and that the correct surname was "Newburn" which was the name I was expecting to find; but I now believe that Mewburn is correct because I have found several instances of Mewburns in the area and the original images for the 1891 census which are on line clearly show the names as Mewburn.

In the 1891 UK Census, there is a Grace Mewborn, age 63, listed in the index for Monkwearmouth, Sunderland, Durham, as head of household, supposedly in folio 36 page 3, but the image appears to be currently inaccessible in the on-line records at Ancestry.com (January 14 2004) so I can't access the other information. She appears to be living by herself as far as I can tell from the list of others on the same page, but cannot be certain until I can view the image.
This could not be the same Grace as above in the 1881 census unless the 1881 transcription date is incorrect (I have not seen the actual page image) my earlier birthdate for Grace was 1828 which would have been possible for someone who was about 63 in 1891 however
