Can't address your specific question about Jacob & Nancy, but my ancestor, George Sinks had 3 wives, among them Mary Mast. They definitely lived in & around Montgomery Co., OH. I have lots more besides this on the Sinks family.
  1. George[1] Sinks (I). Born, circa 1735, in Germany. Died, Apr 1819, in Montgomery Co., OH (prob.).
"One of the early settlers of Randolph township was George Sinks, born in Germany in 1735. He emigrated to America, settling first in North Carolina but not liking it there, he removed to Washington county, Pennsylvania, then to Montgomery county, OH,in 1803. His movements have been traced through his removal certificates from one Friends' monthly meeting to another. On July 27, 1802, George Sinks requested a ertificate to Westland monthly meeting, Washington county, Pa., from Back Creek church,Randolph Co., N.C. This was approved and signed August 24, 1802. At Westland monthly meeting, Washington Co., Pa., July 23, 1803, the certificate from Back Creek monthly meeting for George Sinks and his son Andrew was recorded and one bearing the same date for Mary Sinks and daughters Eve, Ann, and Sarah.
"The name of the first wife of George Sinks is not known. In the record of the death of the son Andrew (West Branch records) is given as the son of George and "R." Sinks. The second wife was Mary (Mast) Waggoner, daughter of John Mast Sr. and widow of John Waggoner Sr. She had one son, John Waggoner Jr., born 1775.
"George Sinks died April 1819, leaving a will dated January 28, 1818, and recorded in Montgomery Co. April 19, 1819 (Will Book A, p. 74), in which he names his wife Mary and the following children: Elizabeth Fouts, Susanna Fouts, Mary Hoover, Eva Yount, Nancy Sheets, Sarah Hoover, Jacob, Andrew, George, 'and my wife's son, John Waggoner.' A daughter, Catherine, probably died prior to the father's death as she is not mentioned in the will. Of these:
"Elizabeth Sinks, born October 10, 1771, died 1852, married in 1791 Michael Fouts. She came to Ohio from North Carolina in 1803 and settled on Big Twin Creek, German Township, Montgomery Co.. They had issue: Eli, who married Polly Schaeffer; Mary; Henry, who married Elizabeth Yount; Michael; Eva, who married first Enos Yount, second his cousin Solomon Yount; Susan; Elizabeth, who married Levi Berger; Jesse; Andrew; Aaron, who married Rachel Martindale; Daniel; Jacob; and Sarah.
"Jacob Sinks, born 1773, died October 9, 1846, married Mary Yount, daughter of Henry and Mary (Waymire) Yount; issue: Daniel, Anna, Susan, Jacob and Harvey.
"Susanna Sinks, born August 20, 1775, married in 1794 Solomon Byrkett of North Carolina. He was killed by the Indians in 1795 while scouting on Big Twin, leaving one son, Solomon. She married second Frederick Fouts and had issue: Sarah, Polly, Neah, Elizabeth, John, George, Eve, Susanna, Frederick and Catherine.
"Mary Sinks, born April 20, 1777, died 1830, married January 8, 1807, Daniel Hoover (his second wife; see Hoover article Dayton
Journal), nephew of David and Daniel Hoover, early settlers of Randolph township and had issue: Mary; Sarah, who married Philip Woodhouse; Susan who married Isaac Newman.
"George Sinks Jr., born January 22, 1779, died February 21, 1847, married Sarah Plummer. She died July 13, 1841, aged 61 years. Both buried at Polk Church. They had issue: Mary, married William Dixon; Daniel; John, who married first Lydia Hutchens, second Julia Bear; Polly, married Charles Cartwright; Eliza, married David Wise; George, married Joanna Jay; Eli, married Senny Yount; Catherine, married William Quillan; Susan, married Henry Sheets.
"Andrew Sinks, born January 12, 1782, died December 3, 1869, married September 14, 1806, Amelia Yount, daughter of George and Rosanna (Waymire) Yount, born July 15, 1790, died January 22, 1872. Both buried Polk Church. They had issue: Elizabeth, who married William Sheets; Enoch, who married Catherine Waymire; George, who married Esther Mikesell; Frederick, married Mary Buchanan; Alexander, married Elizabeth Curtley; Henry, married Elsie Hollingsworth; Rosanna, married Andrew Sheets; Andrew Y., married Barbara Stockslager; Noah, married Mary Jackson; William had three wives, Abigail Pearson, Sarah Pearson, and Caroline Kelly; Ira,
married America Williamson; Jacob, who had four wives, Phebe Macy, Elizabeth Davidson, Clarissa Macy, and Elizabeth Cress.
"Eva Sinks, born November 12, 1784, died September 9, 1837, married December 22, 1806, Andrew Yount, son of Henry and Mary (Waymire)
Yount, born October 3, 1785, died September 14, 1860. Issue: Daniel, Allen, John, Andrew, Mary, George, William, and Henry.
"Catharine Sinks, born August 12. 1789. No record.
"Anna or Nancy Sinks, born December 17, 1790, married, April 28, 1808, Jacob Sheets, son of Andrew Sheets, Sr., who died 1809 in Miami Co..
"Sarah Sinks, born May 21, 1792, [married?] 1808, Andrew Hoover, son of Daniel Sr., born 1788, died 1863. They moved to Indiana in 1822. Issue: Abijah, George, Daniel, Hannah, Mary, Alexander, Jacob, Jane, Perry, Caroline."
The 1860 Boone County, Indiana Census enumerates a "Nancy Sheets", age 71, in the Jacob S. Sheets household.
The 1870 Boone County, Indiana Census enumerates a "Nancy Sheets", age 80, in the Jacob S. Sheets household.
McLean notes Anna is "mentioned in father's will".
