 Beverly Jane Berry passed away May 31, 2017 at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Oxnard. Beverly leaves a son, Jeffery Allen Butters and his wife, Julia Payson Butters, of Atkinson, NH; grandson, Erik Butters and his wife Denise Witt-Butters of Simi Valley and Jason Butters of Agoura, CA; stepsons, Alan Berry, his wife Wendy, Gene Berry and his wife Carolee and stepdaughter, Anne Wade. She also leaves seven step-grandchildren, Ashley, Allison, Melissa, Stephen, Eric, Katie and John. Beverly was born in Maryland on September 7, 1925. BJ as she was known to her many friends arrived in Los Angeles in 1937. Graduate of Belmont High School in Los Angeles and attended Los Angeles City College.
 BJ held a Real Estate and Pilots license, was an avid volunteer for the City of Ventura, and worked for Lockheed in Burbank. BJ was a volunteer for Governor Ronald Regan and volunteered at the White House, was an enthusiastic member of the "Red Hat Society" and numerous and varied other civic and community organizations where she made many, many friends, volunteering her time and vivacious energy.
 Services were private at the request of BJ and in lieu of flowers please forward any contributions to: Ventura Community Partners Foundation, checks made payable to: Care of Senior Services, P.O. Box 24230, Ventura, CA 93002 or to any SPCA Location. Beverly has been entrusted to the care of Charles Carroll Funeral Home. (Ventura County Star - June 11, 2017)
