Notes
a. Note:   Living with daughter Mary in 1900.
A family Bible from the Robert William Mitchell family showed Margaret Say Gardiner as the wife of John Mitchell.
Minnie Patterson identified Margaret Miller as the mother of these children. I got the "Wade" reference from the LDS. Could Margaret Wade (or Miller) be the other Margaret? Most likely, the Mormons are correct, since they don't know the 2nd Margaret's last name, and couldn't have been confused.
... No, Judith White also heard from her grandmother Ida May that the name was Miller. She says a descendant of Christopher Columbus Mitchell is the source of "Wade", and is in error. She also says that descendants of Robert Mitchell list her name as Margaret Say Gardener.
  No! This is definitive:
From Goodspeed's Book of Northwestern Arkansas. From Wilma Fosgate: Probably written in 1889. It is a biographical sketch of James Anderson Mitchell's brother, William R. It mentions his father, John Mitchell, a native of Tennessee, who came to Arkansas when a young man and married Margaret Gardner, a native of Georgia. Also, the death certificate of her son John lists her name as Gardner.
LDS lists Margaret Miller's birth year as c. 1831.
LDS lists Margaret Wade as being born 10/21/1820 in Georgia and died 5/23/1901. Her marraige to J.P. is listed as 2/28/1839 in Georgia.
