a. Note:   a life-time resident of Swift County. On April 27, 1916 she was united in marriage to August Giese. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Melvin Rohloff (Lucille), Mrs. Harold Wente (Marcella), Mrs. Albert Munterman (Vivilore); three sons, Ray, Manville, and Lyndon; three brothers, Arthur, Carl, and Willard Thielke; four sisters, Mrs. William Schulz (Louise), Mrs. Minnie Schmidt, Mrs. Rueben Pahl (Amanda), Mrs. Henry Erdman (Norma); and 35 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
  She was proceded in death by her parents, a son, Orlin, a brother, John, and two sisters, Hattie, and Pauline.
  Mrs. Giese died on January 9, 1965 at Morris. Funeral services are conducted at Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairfield Township, Holloway, Minnesota on January 13, 1965 at 2:00 P.M. She will be buried in Fairfield Lutheran Cemetery.
  Pallbears are: Gerald Rohloff, Delno Rohloff, Dean Rohloff, Dalton Wente, Harlan Wente, and Elroy Munsterman.
 !GEISE-THIELKE WEDDING.
  Thursday forenoon, April 27, 1916, at eleven o'clock a pretty home wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry E. Thielke in the town of Fairfield when their third daughter Miss Alma was united in marriage to Mr. August Giese, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Giese. The ceremony took place in the presence of a number of relatives and invited guests and was performed by Rev. Hans Apple of the Moyer church. The bridal party took their places to the straines of a wedding march rendered by Mrs. H. Giese and Mrs. Wm. C. Schultz Jr.
  The bride wore a gown of white taffaie silk and carried a bo[u]quet of bridal roses, she was attended by her cousin Miss Olga Knopp and Miss Martha Giese, sister of the groom, who was attended by Walter Giese brother of the groom and by Arthur Theilke brother of the bride.
  The groom is an energetic, upright young farmer in the town of Fairfield.
  The[y] will go to housekeeping at once.
  The congratulations and good wishes for a long and happy life were many sincere wishes, in which all their many friends will heavily concur. (from newspaper clipping)
