a. Note:   Stientje was listed as having ten children in the 1910 US Census and eight were still NN when the census was taken. Eight children have been identified with her first husband, Albert Haats. The last two children listed with Stientje and Geerd Eilderts are likely to be her children while the other children in the family were born to Geerd and his first wife, Trientje Wagener.Stientjes obituary appeared in the Aplington News section on page 3 of the 12/27/1928 Ackley World-Journal, Ackley, Iowa.Mrs. Geo. Eilderts died at her home Friday night at the age of fifty-five years. Funeral services were held Tuesday, conducted by Rev. Achterman of the Monroe Township Reformed church, and Rev. G. Schnucker. Interment was in the cemetery of the Monroe Twp. church, beside her husband who died in 1919. Mrs. Stientje Stass Eilderts was born at Wymer [Wymeer], near Wener [probably Weener], Germany, Jan. 3rd, 1873.
