a. Note:   Eildert H. Eilders -- came to America [in 1884] at the age of fourteen. At the age of nineteen he purchased a farm two miles south and two miles east of George from his older brother Dirk who had come here before he did. At the age of twenty-one he received his citizenship papers and in the year 1900, at the age of twenty-nine, he married. At a double wedding Eildert married Bertha Geerdes, the daughter of Berend Geerdes, and Eildert's sister Grace married Bertha's brother George. The Eildert Eilders children were Minnie (Mrs. John Beek); Harm (married Gertrude Krahling); Irene (Mrs. Pete Timmer); Hannah (Mrs. Henry Krahling); Benart (married Sophie Popkes); and Ilert (married Johannah Koerselman). Their house is shown here.
