a. Note:   .com/ob.asp?obnum=535 OBITUARY OF BERTHA NAOMI ADAMS Bertha Naomi Adams was born August 30, 1905 in Dodge City , Arkansas to Chaley and Fannie Mae (Knight) Nalley. She departed this life on March 18, 2008 at the age of 102 years 6 months and 18 days. Bertha had lived in Pryor since 1951. She was a homemaker and was married to Roy Adams on July 18, 1927 in Wewoka , Oklahoma . he preceded her in death on October 9, 2007. Bertha and Roy are in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the “Longest Married Couple in the World”. Bertha fostered and provided a home for over 200 foster children. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church and the Centenarian Club of Oklahoma. Bertha enjoyed gardening, cooking, and was known for her chicken and dumplings and peanut brittle. She never met a stranger and if someone needed help she was always there to lend a hand any way she could. She babysat all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Bertha was a caring and loving wife and mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Bertha is survived by 3 sons John C. Adams of Garland, Texas, Pokey Adams and wife Claudia of Pryor, Lee Ray Adams and wife Wauhilla of Locust Grove, daughters Helen Weaver, Wanda Fry and Husband Odis all of Pryor, 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 25 great-great grandchildren, 1 brother Charles Nalley of Holdenville, Oklahoma. Sisters, Unice Miller of Napa , California , Florene Webb of Valligo , California , and Imogene Crook of Doniphan , Missouri . In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents Chaley and Fannie (Knight) Nalley, Brothers John, Earl, Lonnie, Bud, and an infant brother, sisters Alta Lola Nalley and Ilda Yarborough.
