Note: ham, who is still remembered by the older citizens of the town, eventually came into possession of the greater part of the lands owned by his grandfather in the Loonenburg Patent. His dwelling was the old stone house on the farm called “Korst Veloren,” near the bank of the river, and about a mile north of the mouth of Murderer’s Creek. Here he lived until 1795, when he sold his land in that region to strangers and lived for some years in a house now owned by Samuel Odell, on the west side of the road running north from the Schoharie Turnpike, west of the present toll-gate. At a later date he moved to Preble, Cortland county, and there died. He was the last survivor of the family in this town.
