The records were released on 5 April 2011 following the end of their 100 year closure period. There were new questions relating to fertility of marriage: on duration of marriage; the number of living children born to each marriage; and the number alive at the time of the census. There were changes to several others: categories for people with disabilities were revised and the introductory section to the third report on the 1911 census refers to the intended use of the terms as: lunatic - in cases where the infirmity had been acquired during life imbecile - in extreme cases where the infirmity had existed from birth or an early age feeble-minded - in milder cases where the infirmity had existed from birth or an early age.

Notes
a. Note:   1. The 1911 census shows that Thomas and Agnes had 6 children, of which 4 were still living on the day of the 1911 census. A search on Scotlands people for deaths can only find Thomas Cook Wilson, who died in 1902 age 1
  2. Back Row, Townhill, where Agnes lived in 1891, changed name to Wilson Street (apparently named after Robert Cook Wilson, who became Provost of Dunfermline in 1927)
  3. A further search on Scotlands People in 2018 for births, found a child born to Thomas and Agnes named Agnes Archibald Wilson b. 17th May 1892. She died, 7 years old, with Tubercular Peritonitus, on 27 May 1899.
