The records were released on 5 April 2011 following the end of their 100 year closure period. There were new questions relating to fertility of marriage: on duration of marriage; the number of living children born to each marriage; and the number alive at the time of the census. There were changes to several others: categories for people with disabilities were revised and the introductory section to the third report on the 1911 census refers to the intended use of the terms as: lunatic - in cases where the infirmity had been acquired during life imbecile - in extreme cases where the infirmity had existed from birth or an early age feeble-minded - in milder cases where the infirmity had existed from birth or an early age.

Notes
a. Note:   1. George Harrower is eventually found in the Scottish 1901 census, living as a boarder in a house in Mill Street, Tillicoultry, aged 57, which is obviously incorrect as he was born in 1849. He is working as a Tweed Weaver.
Thomas Harrower, George's Son, is also a boarder, living in the same house, aged 24, working as a Woolen Yarn Twister.
George and Thomas have obviously had to move away from the family for work, as the rest of the family are living in Havelock Street, Wilton, Hawick during the same census.

The frequency of malignant change is increased in the polyostotic form of FD, especially in patients with McCune-Albright syndrome or Mazabraud syndrome.
