Page:   1911 HARROWER, GEORGE (Census 789/ 23/ 6) Page 6 of 22 Parish: Wilton 1911 Scotland Census [Scotlandspeople.com] The 1911 census was taken on Sunday 2 April under provisions in the Census (Great Britain) Act 1910. The records were released on 5 April 2011 following the end of their 100 year closure period. There were new questions relating to fertility of marriage: on duration of marriage; the number of living children born to each marriage; and the number alive at the time of the census. There were changes to several others: categories for people with disabilities were revised and the introductory section to the third report on the 1911 census refers to the intended use of the terms as: lunatic - in cases where the infirmity had been acquired during life imbecile - in extreme cases where the infirmity had existed from birth or an early age feeble-minded - in milder cases where the infirmity had existed from birth or an early age.

Notes
a. Note:   1. See Note 2 ------------
Cannot be sure of birth of Elizabeth on Scopeo, although there are 3 Elizabeths born in Eckford between 1855 & 1859, and numerous more born in Kelso during the same years.
  2. Elizabeth, in the 1861 and 1871 census is grandaughter to Margaret Noble Reid, not daughter as previously thought, Agnes R is also in the house, in the 1861 census, she is possibly the Mother of Elizabeth.
(Tree not yet adjusted to suit,13/12/10)
 Whats goin on here???????????????????????????
PS There are 20 years difference between birth years of Thomas Reid and Margaret Noble's children, if Elizabeth is their Child.
  3. On 24 October 2012 I found the birth register for Elizabeth Reid. She was Baptised as Betsey Reid, born 31 March 1857, in 68 Horse Market, Kelso, Illegitimate (Father not named) Mother Agnes Reid, Informant at birth Thomas Reid, Painter, Grandfather of the Child.
 Tree now adjusted.
  4. It is unknown if Elizabeth knew her true parents, although further records ie her marriages and her death shows her parents as Thomas Reid and Margaret Noble.
