When the inventor died, he left all his discoveries to Arthur and he became a specialist in fire-proofed wood floorings and ceilings specialist. It is said that he worked at Buckingham Palace, placing a fire-proof floor in the Kitchens. He had an accident while working in a London Theatre, falling from the ceiling he was working on, leaving him with a permanent back injury.
