a. Note:   On 21 January 1824 the Louisiana Legislature appoved the following act to dispense Frederick Arbour with the time prescribed by law for attaining the age of majority:
  Be it enacted by the Senate and the House of Representatives of the state of Louisiana in general assembly convened, That from and after the passage of this act, Frederick Arbour, an inhabitant of the parish of West Baton Rouge, and a citizen o of this state, of nineteen years of age, be and he is hereby authorized to manage by himself his own estate and generally do all and singular the civil acts which may be, or are done by all persons who have attained the age prescribed by law fo r majority.
