  The 1850 census of Habersham County, Georgia indicates that George, his wife, Mary and their eldest son Daniel were born in North Carolina. The other 8 children in the household were born in Georgia between 1833 and 1849. Based on Daniel's age of 21 in 1850, the family moved to Georgia between 1829 and 1833. The 1830 census of Burke County North Carolina (1st and 2nd Regiments) shows a George Deal family with the husband and wife in the right age groups and a son under the age of 5, who could have been Daniel. There is an additional female in the household between the ages of 15 and 20 who is too old to have been their child and may be a sibling of either Geoge or Mary. The 1820 census of Buncombe County North Carolina shows a George Deal family with the head of household between the ages of 26 and 45 and one son between 10 and 16 (possibly your George?).
