a. Note:   N652 When Harold was born his mother, Louise Lock DeYoung was crippled by RA and gave him to “Aunt Nell” to raise, who was living in Yonkers, NY. This must have been a temporary arrangement because the 1920 and 1930 Federal censuses show Harold in the home of his parents.
  1940 Census - John DeYoung (60), Louise DeYoung (59), and Harold DeYoung (22) are living at 1-22 Hartley Place, Fair Lawn, Bergen, NJ. They were in the same house in 1935. John completed 6th grade and is a steamer in Dye Stuff. Louise and Harold completed the 8th grade. Louise was b. in Channel Islands. Harold is a painter of autos.
  Died of lung cancer.
