  1917 June 28 - Minneapolis Morning Tribune - "Vari-colored garden flowers formed the decorations at the prettily appointed luncheon which Mrs. E. E. Smith gave yesterday in her home, 2109 Blaisdell avenue, in compliment to Miss Beatrice Calhoun, whose engagement to Lieut. Edwin E. Elliott of the Fourth United States Infantry, son of former Judege and Mrs. Charles B. Elliott of this city, was announced last Sunday. The centerpiece on the table consisted of a straw hat filled with iris, daisies, forget-me-nots, and Cecil Bruner roses. A corsage bouquet of the same flowers marked Miss Calhoun's place. Twelve guests were entertained.
  Miss Calhoun will leave Saturday for her home in Easton, MD., after an extended visit with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John E. Calhoun, 1708 James avenue south."
  1917 - Aug 12 - Minneapolis Morning Tribune - "..On Saturday, Miss Beatrice Calhoun of Minneapolis and Easton, Md., will become the bride of Lieutenant Edwin B. Elliott of Minneapolis, who is stationed at Gettysburg..
  Mrs. John Edwards Calhoun and her little daughter, Virginia, will leave the middle of the week for Baltimore to attend the wedding of Miss Beatrice Calhoun, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Calhoun, to Lieutenant Edwin E. Elliott, stationed at Gettysburg. Lieutenant Elliott's brother, Captain Winslow Elliott, who is also stationed at Gettysburg, and Mrs. Elliott will attend the wedding.
  The ceremony will take place at 4:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the Church of Our Father, in Baltimore. There will be no attendants.”
  1918 - Nov 6 - Minneapolis Morning Tribune - "Word has been received from Los Angeles announcing the birth of Beatrice Elliott, daughter of Capt. and Mrs. Edwin E. Elliott (Beatrice Calhoun). Mrs Elliott is residing with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John F. Calhoun, formerly of Minneapolis. Captain Elliott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Elliott, 2538 Humbolt avenue south, is in France."
  1920 -Aug 8 - Minneapolis Morning Tribune - "Captain Edwin E. Elliott, son of Judge and Mrs. Charles B Elliott, who is stationed at Camp Kearney, San Diego, Calif., has been transfered to the camp at Missoula, Mont. Captain and Mrs. Elliott will move to their new home this month. Mrs. Elliott was formerly Miss Beatrice Calhoun of this city."
