a. Note:   N212 Gwendolyn was a highly trained musician, and taught piano in New York City, and played in concerts. She gave it all up when she met and fell in love with John Munroe. They lived in Center Harbor, New Hampshire. Gwendolyn loved cats. They had no children.

  "The faculty scholarship for the student of the third grade who has the best showing in piano was awarded to Gwendolyn Brewster."
  1926 - Mrs. John E. Munroe (Gwendolyn Brewster), daughter of Mr. snd Mrs. Charles E. Brewster of 717 Kenwood parkway, has returned from New York city, where she has been attending the Institute of Musical Arts for the past four years. Mrs. Munroe, who recently was graduated with honors in the teachers' course In piano, will spend the summer with her parents, and will return to New York in the fall.

  1930 Census - John E Munroe (29) and his wife Gwendolyn (27) are living in Bronx, Bronx, NY. They rent their home for $57 a month. John, born in NJ, was 26 and Gwendolyn 24 when they married. John is a bookeeping clerk in publishing and Gwendolyn is a music teacher.
