(INS) Miss Hope Brewster, beautiful young Memphis, Tenn., music teacher, who vanished Monday after paddling down the Mississippi river in a frail 15-foot skiff she bought for $2, was found In Helena today. The 24-year-old girl, an honor graduate of Southwestern University in Memphis, showed no ill effects of the 80-mile river trip from Memphis to Helena. Miss Brewster told a reporter she Paddled down the river all night Monday and arrived in Helena about ' a. m. yesterday. She spent last night at the Gregg hotel. Found eating breakfast in the hotel cafe, she expressed disappointment that her daring river trip had caused so much comment. Airplane and speed boat parties joined in a search for her. She had intended, she said, to remain in Helena and find employment, but in view of "the publicity" indicated she might continue down the river to get away from it. _____________ Miss Hope Brewster, the girl who sailed down the Mississippi to get away from it all, is a niece of two Minneapolis women and the daughter of two University of Minnesota graduates. The two aunts in Minneapolis are Mrs. Rollin C. Chapin, 707 Kenwood parkway, and Mrs. Eugene B. Hanson, 215 Hawthorne Road, Interlachen park. Miss Brewster's mother, the former Anna Louise Allyn, was graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1905 and moved to Mem-phi and Atlanta. Her father, Charles E. Brewster, was graduated from the school of forestry at the university In 1810. A grandfather of the adventurous girl, Charles E. Brewster, Sr, has been ill in Franklin hospital for about a year.
