  "He md Anna Tryon (1788-8/16/1844), dau of William Tryon of Farmington, Conn., in Utica, N.Y. Anna was bd at Brewster, Illl. She was descended from William Tryon (1646-1711), England to Wethersfield, Conn., who md Saint Robinson (1656-1711), dau of Thomas Robinson (d. 1689) of Hartford, Conn.

  There was an Edwin (or Edward) C. Tryon living in Pike Co., IL. His father was Grove Anson Tryon, first cousin of Anna Tryon Brewster.

  History of Pike County, Illinois includes this entry for “Edwin C. Tryon, deceased, was born in 1830 in Connecticut, and died in 1872. His wife, Louise B. (Buell) Tryon, was born in New York city in 1839; they were united in marriage in 1859. To them were born 2 sons, one in 1861 and one in 1870. “
  This may have been a relative of Anna. An “Ed Tryon” is listed with C. T. Brewster in a publication as representatives of New Canton in a public affair.
  Edwin C Tryon is listed as a citizen of Pleasant Vale Township on the 1864-1865 US IRS Tax assessment.
  1870 Census shows “Edward Tryon (40), b. CT with wife Louise (30) b. NY, and children George (9) and Edwin (5) living in Rockport, Atlas Twp, Pike Co., IL. Edward is a farmer.

  "Mr. Edwin C. Tryon lives in Quincy which is in west central Illinois in Adams County, and for many years prior to retirement worked at the Electric Wheel Plant in that city. His interests iclude butterflies, moths, and other insect groups; mollusks; minerals and fossils; and lapidary crafts among other. He has collected insects for at least fifty years in Adams and Pike Counties.
