Raised in Alpena, MI. Dau of Fred “Cap” Wixson, director of Boys Clubs of NE Michigan. Married res: Fayetteville, NC and Columbia, SC. Edythe had daughter by unknown father, Betty Hope (Adamson), b. 3/8.1945, Columbia, SC. William and Edythe divorced 12/ 1947, Cheyenne, WY. Edythe later remarried to Frank E. Adamson, and oil company employee, Casoer WY.
Betty Hope received a B.A. from the University of Wyoming, Laramie. In 1977 she was employed as an elementary school teacher in Casper. She was married and had a son.
Edythe and Frank had an additional two sons.

2010 - Death of Edith "Edy" (Wixson) Adamson

On December 15, 2010 Edy took the hand of her beloved Jesus and followed Him home. She was born February 25, 1924 in Toronto, Canada to Fred and Clara (Smith) Wixson. She was a former resident of Casper, Wyoming and Alcova Lake. Edy and Frank E. Adamson were united in marriage November 26, 1948 in Glenrock.
There are too many of her joys and accomplishments to mention them all. Edy was a giving and caring person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Frank of Sierra Vista, Arizona; daughter, Betty Hope Strozzi of Casper; two sons, Larry (Juanita) Adamson of Sierra Vista, David (Mila) Adamson of Casper; six grandsons, Wade Holen, Jeramy Adamson, Jared Adamson, Jacob Adamson, Josh Adamson and Van Strozzi; four great-grandchildren; and her sister, Betty Stoddard of Glenrock.
