Notes
a. Note:   Recorded in Warren County IL Marriage Index Book E Page 211. As Jurn G Beckner and Mabel M Clute, MARRIED
At the home of Dr. W. R. King in Monmouth last Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock occurred the marriage of Mr. John Becker of Alexis, to Miss Mabel Clute of the Tylerville neighborhood in the presence of only the necessary witnesses. The bride was dressed in pale blue silk trimmed in white silk and white over lace, while the groom wore the black. Mrs. Becker is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Clute and was one of the favorite young ladies of the community in which she lived and is possessed of many pleasing personalities, and is thoroughly qualified to reign in the home of the man whose name she has taken.
The groom is a carpenter by trade and has made his home in Alexis for the past several years where he is known as a young man of exemplifying habits, and a skilled workman at his profession. The happy couple will make their home in this city, having rented the residence property in the north part of town recently vacated by J. W. Mahaffey. The Alexis Argus, together with a host of friends, join in wishing these young people many years of happiness and prosperity.
