a. Note:   RONALD E. PHILLIPS GALESBURG--------Ronald E. Phillips 83, a resident of Marigold health Care Center, formerly of Roseville, died at 1:55 P.M. Monday (Jan. 27, 2003) in the health care center.
 He was born Jan. 17, 1920 in Roseville, IL. the son of George and Bertha Philips Phillips.
 He married Clara Mae Alexander on April 17, 1953, in Roseville. She died Oct. 28, 1980.
 Surviving are cousins and a close friend, Jean Carlson. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
 He was raised in Roseville and graduated from Roseville High School.
 He was an Army veteran.
 He operated the Ben Tee Co. grocery store for many years in Roseville. He moved to Rockford and worked for a printing press.
 He retired and moved to Texas and lived in Galesburg the past two years.
 He was an American Legion member.
 Cremation was accorded.
 Funeral will be at 2 P.M. Wednesday in Corman Memorial Home, Roseville.
