Notes

Note: Worked for Oddfellows old folks home in Lockport NY as a nurse about 1957 while living with her dau Lucille. When Clara died her son came back from the funeral with a story about a distant uncle whose revolver had been given to a family member as an heirloom at that time. The story was it had notches in it from when this uncle rode with Jesse James. What doesn't fit is Clara was from Indiana so this story probably wasn't from her fam. I have always supposed that the revolver came into her possession from Ella Henry's family who were much more likely to be Southern sympathizers than her family.
