Note: Jennie was reportedly the illegitimate daugher of an American Indian. This is not born out in the dna of one of her great grandsons, Lannes M. R. 1910 census Dist 0170, Richland, Scott Co, MO, has Marion & Jennie with kids, Jennie's parents are shown as born in Indiana. Also living with them is John W. Confer poss father of the Sam Confer that married Clara Belle Resler abt 1960.
1971 obit from the Kokomo Tribune, 23 Feb 1971: "Jennie Resler, 90, Peru, R.R. 1, died at Dukes Memorial Hospital at 1 a.m. Monday after an illness of one year. Born Oct. 7, 1880 in Camden, she was the daughter of Mr. amd Mrs. Jep Taylor.
Her marriage March 3, 1895 was to Marion Resler, who preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Don Resler, Peru, R. R. 1 and Fred Resler, Roann R. R. 1; 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mrs. Resler was a member of the General Baptist Church in Missouri.
Funeral services will be conducted in the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo. At 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in the 100F Cemetery there."
McMikle funeral home indicates funeral information was probably from one of her sons and the pall bearers were members of her church. The funeral information that her mother was Sarah Hoppes is a complete mystery.
