a. Note:   Ben homesteaded farmland with his brother William Baker Ferguson near Walla Walla, Washington and they lived together in that area until William died in 1928. Ben is found in the 1910 Census in Seattle, Washington and in the 1920 Census in Snohomish County, Washington living with his brother, William. His occupation in the 1910 Census is listed as Gardener and in the 1920 Census his occupation is listed as Trapper at nearby lakes. According to family records, Ben was a fruit farmer, hunter and trapper. He sold the farm after William died and moved to Roundup, Musselshell County, Montana. Ben never married.
