a. Note:   In the 1850 Census report, William is recorded as living in Darlington Township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania with his parents James and Margaret and his sister Barbara. In the 1860, 1870 and 1880 census reports William was found living in Scotland, Greene County, Indiana. William moved from Greene County, Indiana to homestead farmland in Walla Walla, Washington with his brother Benjamin Franklin Ferguson. William is found in the 1910 Census in Seattle Washington and in the 1920 Census in Port Susan, Snohomish Washington living with his brother Benjamin. His occupation in the 1910 Census is listed as Carpenter and his occupation in the 1920 Census is listed as fruit grower and owner of a Fruit Ranch. According to family records he was a fruit grower, hunter, trapper and a carpenter. He never married and died in the State of Washington in 1928.
