Note: Obituary Notice: Jacob S. Monk died at his home at Stockwell, at noon yesterday of a complication of diseases and the infirmities of age. He was born in Broome county, New York, July 18, 1826, and came to Tippecanoe county in 1844, where he has since resided. On may 8, 1852, he united in marriage with Miss Sarah Moore, who died November 26, 1904. Mr Monk was a man of rugged honesty and was highly esteemed by all who knew him. He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Mary Hudson, of Pittsburgh, Indiana, Samuel Monk of Des Moines, Iowa, James and John Monk, of Stockwell and Morris Monk, of Gladden’s Corner. Five grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. The deceased was a charter member of Stockwell Lodge L O O F, which will have charge of the funeral services which will be held in the Stockwell M E Church Friday.
