Note: . Louis on July 7. Not known is where they met, was it at her home in Clarksville? Did they run away together to St. Louis to marry? Since he was Catholic, that could be a reason. Burial records for Caroline say 64 years, 3 months, 18 days on her gravestone. That is only off by 3 days--maybe the Dec. 22 records reflects her burial date, not her death date.
Note: Her name appears in reverse order on some documents after her birth. According to Fischer descendants, Caroline met John on July 4, and marriage records show them as married in a civil ceremony in St
