Notes
a. Note:   [Betty.FTW] Granville Henderson Bishop1,2 was born on May 17, 1828 in Scott Co, VA.3 ,4 Below is an age study for Granville. The older he gets, the
more exagerated the age becomes. The 1840 census in the household of hisp arents, he is listed as 10-15 years old. I think the 1850 census is the m ost accurate of all sources listing him as born in 1828. At 22 years ol d, Elizabeth is in good memory and no reason to give innaccurate age. Eliz abeth probably supplied all the data on the census. The date Granville ga ve in his military record in 1865 was 1827. I think the month and day a re correct. The year may be off by one or two years.

Granville's obituary has a lot of incorrect information. If you look at E lizabeth's death record and the pension record of Granville--the

Every instance in the military records and pensi on record where Granville supplied the information, there is no "D." Eliz abeth put a D in it in the obituary.
