a. Note:   , in Perdue, on Tuesday morning, May 10. Funeral services were held from St. Cuthbert's Anglican Church on Thursday, May 12 and burial was made in Perdue Cemetery, with Rev. R.S. Newman officiating. The pallbearers were Roy Armstrong, Charles Sapsford, T.P. Davis, Charles Stewart, Bert Ball, and Wm. Colbert.
 The deceased was born near Kingston, Ontario, and came West to Manitoba, where he lived for several years and then moved, with his family, to Elstow, where he farmed until coming to Louvain district in 1913 where he farmed until retiring in 1936 when he moved into Biggar. He came to Perdue in 1943 where he lived until his death.
 He leaves to mourn his loss three daughters, Mrs. W. Olmstead of New Westminster, B.C., Mrs. Winnie Pooler of Biggar and Mrs. Frank Sapsford of Perdue; two sons, Ross of St. Walburg and Bryce at Perdue; 22 grandchildren and 7 great grand children.
