a. Note:   ospital on July 8th was held on July 11th from the United Church at Perdue to the Wheatfields Cemet[e]ry, Rev. James McMurtry officiating.
  Howard as he was familiarly known was born in Merricksville, [sic] Ontario in 1867 and was 81 years of age. He spent some of the earlier years of his life in Florida, Massachuset[t]s and Pennsylvania. In 1901 he came west to Estevan and in 1903 he came to the Wheatfields District where he has since resided.
  He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Anna Harrison, two daughters, (Adelaide) Mrs. J.B. Wyatt, Perdue, and Ruth of Saskatoon; three sons, Walter and Frank at home, and Robert of Cleveland, Ohio. One son, Fred was killed on active service in World War 2. Three sisters also survive.
  Mr. Harrison was always active in community affairs and served for two terms as councillor in the Rural Municipality of Perdue, and was a trustee of the Wheatfields School District for many years. He has been a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows for over 50 years, and was a Charter Member of the Perdue Lodge I.O.O.F. No. 156. In the passing of this kindly man many have lost a good friend and neighbor.
  J.A. Hagerman of Saskatoon, had charge of the last rites of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows which were conducted under the auspices of Perdue Lodge No. 156. The pallbearers were, D.G. Gamble, William Turtle, F.O. Turner, Earl McMahon, C.R. Dreyer and Mike Halvorson, all members of the Perdue Lodge I.O.O.F. No. 156. [Obituary, The Perdue Record?, 1949]
  J.H. Harrison of Kinley is listed as a councillor of the R.M. of Perdue for the years 1914, 1915, 1916, 1927-1928-1929, 1930-1931, 1932, and 1933-1934. ["Lets Look Back...", pp. 11-15, 1977]
