a. Note:   W.P. Robertson Dead Word had been received of the death of Mr W.P. Robertson, formerly of Almonte, which took place suddenly on Friday of last week, January 3rd. He had been living with his daughter, Mrs S.J. Harvey, at Grandin, North Dakota. After the death of his wife a couple of years ago Mr Robertson went to Toronto and from there to the west, No details have been received. [The Almonte Gazette, Friday January 10, 1908, p. 4]
  Mr W.P. Robertson
 From a Grandin, N. Dak, paper the following reference to the death of Mr W.P. Robertson, so long a citizen of Almonte, is taken: After an illness of several months, W.P. Robertson, late of Almonte, Ont, passed away Friday, January 3rd. Mr Robertson was born March 12th, 1836, at Stirling Scotland, where he received his early education, afterwards being a student at Glasgow university. At the age of seventeen Mr Robertson sailed for Canada, where he engaged in the teaching profession and for almost forty years taught continuously retiring a few years ago. Nine months ago Mr Robertson came to Grandin with his daughter, Mrs S.J. Harvey, and lived here since. The funeral took place Monday from the home of his son-in-law Mrs S.J. Harvey, and was largely attended, services being conducted by Rev Koehler of Hunter. [The Almonte Gazette, Friday January 31, 1908, p. 8]
