Text:   James Satterfeal LE ROY - Funeral services for James Leo Satterfeal, 81, of rural Le Roy, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church, Le Roy, the Rev. David Hurley officiating.
  Burial will be in Frankenberger Cemetery, Ellsworth.
  Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Stensel-Calvert-Belangee Funeral Home, Le Roy, and one hour before services at the church.
  Mr. Satterfeal died at 6:12 p.m. Monday (Dec. 3 1984) at Americana Health Care Center, Normal.
  Mr. Satterfeal was born Oct. 27, 1903, at Campbellsville, Ky., a son of Shive and Emma Grammer Satterfeal. He married Gladys Irene Woosley on Feb. 22, 1922, at Bloomington. She died July 20, 1978.
  Survivors include three sons, Vernon Satterfeal, Roy Satterfeal and Kenny Satterfeal, all of Le Roy; five daughters, Vivian Mosson and Juanita Dagley, both of Le Roy, Marilyn Quaid of Wapella, Carol Sieg of Bloomington, and Janet Martin of Hudson; 26 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Virginia Bailey of Atlanta, Ill.
  He was preceded in death by two sons, three grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters.
  Mr. Satterfeal was a retired farmer. He was a member of several citizen band radio clubs in Illinois.
  Memorials may be made to Le Roy Ambulance Fund or a charity of the donor's choice.

Text:   Leo Satterfeals to observe golden year Mr. and Mrs. Leo Satterfeal of Le Roy will observe their 50th wedding anniversary Thursday.
  The former Irene Woosley, daughter of the Otis Woosleys, and Mr. Satterfeal were married Feb. 24, 1922. His parents are the Shive Satterfeals.
  Attendants were the bride's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Klunch.
  The Satterfeals have lived in the Le Roy and Downs area all of their married life. They have 10 children, James, Ellsworth; Mrs. Vivian Mosson, Vernon, Roy and Mrs. Juanita Dagley, all of Le Roy; Mrs. Marilyn Quaid, Wapella; Mrs. Carol Sieg, 112 Magoun; Mrs. Janet Martin, Hudson; and Kenneth, Le Roy. One son is deceased. There are 27 grandchildren.
  An open house will be hosted by the couple's children Sunday, Feb. 27, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Le Roy Community Center. No invitations are being sent.

  The body was taken to the Stensel Funeral home in LeRoy, where funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m. (standard) Saturday. Burial will be in the Gilmore Cemetery west of LeRoy.
  Mrs. Satterfeal was born Sept. 17, 1873, in Russell County, Kentucky, daughter of Willis and Besty Jane Oddle Grammer. She was married to S. H. Satterfeal in Jamestown, Ky.
  Surviving are her husband; three sons, Will and George, both of Farmer City, and Leo of LeRoy; three daughters, Mrs. Sarah Bailey and Mrs. Virginia Bailey, both of LeRoy, and Mrs. Emily Thompson, Bloomington; three brothers, Ben Grammer, LeRoy; Columbus Grammer, Indianapolis, Ind., and Jess Garmmer, Somerset, Ky.; three sisters, Mrs. Janie Hash, Mrs. Mattie Paston and Mrs. Josie Sanders, all of Indianapolis, Ind.; a half brother, Charlie Grammer, Stanford; a half sister, Mrs. Belle Flannagan; stepmother Mrs. Mary Jo Grammer; 34 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
  She was a member of the Methodist church.

Text:   George E. Satterfeal Dies In Hospital George Euin Satterfeal, 49, died at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Macon County Sanitarium, Decatur where he had been a pateint the last three weeks.
  He was born Sept. 16, 1901 at Campbellsville, Ky., to Shive and Emma Grammer Satterfeal. He was married in 1922 to Doris Edna LeVeck of Bloomington who predeceased him in January 1947.
  Survivors are three sons, Leslie, Allen and Delmar, all of this city; also seven daughters, Margaret of this city and Mrs. Dorothy Grindley, Mrs. Mildred Grindley, Edna, Linda, Deanna and Gayle all of Mahomet.
  Two brothers, William of this city and Leo of LeRoy and three sisters, Mrs. Emily Thompson, Bloomington, Mrs. Sarah Bailey and Mrs. Virgie Bailey both of LeRoy. One sister preceded him in death.
  He had lived in Farmer City for 22 years and the last few years had been employed at Carl's Truck Stop.
  Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Stensels' Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Harrold, pastor of the Christian church, officiating. Burial was made in Maple Grove cemetery.
  Casket bearers were Vernell Kent, Raymond Smith, Veldon Bealor, Carry Lewis, John Reeser and Herbert Carey.

Text:   George E. Satterfeal FARMER CITY - (PNS) - George Euin Satterfeal, 49, died at 4 p. m. (standard) Thursday in the Macon County Sanatarium at Decatur. He had been a patient there the past three weeks.
  He was brought to Stensel's Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
  Mr. Satterfeal was born Sept. 16, 1901 at Campbellsville, Ky., the son of Shive and Emma Grammer Satterfeal. He married Doris Edna Le Veck at Bloomington in 1922. She died in January of 1947.
  He is survived by four sons, Leslie, Allen and Delmar, all of Farmer City, and Goyle, Mahomet; six daughters, Miss Edna, Miss Linda and Miss Deana Satterfeal, Mrs. Mildred Grindley and Mrs. Dorothy Grindley, all of Mahomet and Miss Margaret Satterfield, at home; two brothers, William, Farmer City; Leo, Le Roy; three sisters, Mrs. Emily Thompson, Bloomington; Mrs. Sarah Bailey, and Mrs. Virgie Bailey, both of Le Roy.
  One sister preceded him in death.
  He had lived in Farmer City the past 22 years and had been employed at Carl's Truck Stop.

  He was born Sept. 27, 1873, in Russell County, Ky. He married Emma Grammer in 1891. He came to LeRoy in 1920 and worked as a farm laborer until his retirement. His wife died in 1950.
  Surviving are two sons, Willie, Mansfield; Leo, LeRoy; three daughters, Mrs. Emily Thompson, 114 Greenwood Trailer Court, Bloomington; Mrs. Cora Bailey, Mrs. Sarah Bailey, both LeRoy; 37 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
  Seven children, a brother and a sister preceded him in death. Mr. Satterfeal was a member of Baptist Church in Kentucky.
  Organist was Mrs. Effie Huddlestone. Mrs. Wayne, Farmer City, was soloist. Pallbearers were Lyle Wheeler, Glen Walden, Orval Hart, Taylor Grammer, Herb Miles and Lester Brittin

  His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Stensel's Funeral Home in Farmer City, the Rev. William Stanley officiating. Burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery, near Farmer City.
  Visitation will be Sunday afternoon and evening.
  He was born Aug. 4, 1896, at Campbellsville, Ky., a son of Sheve and Emma Grammer Satterfeal. He married Bessie Woldridge, April 19, 1916.
  Surviving are his wife, a son, Raymond, Baton Rouge, La.; three daughters, Mrs. Irene Ball, and Mrs. Pointer, both of Champaign; Mrs. Della Franklin, Carlisle; a brother, Leo; and three sisters, Mrs. Virginia Bailey and Mrs. Sarah Bailey, all of Le Roy; Mrs. Emily Thompson, Bloomington; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One daughter, three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
  He was a member of the Methodist Church.

  Her funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the LeRoy First United Methodist, the Rev. Harvey Dibrell officiating. Burial will be in Frankenberger Cemetery, near Ellsworth.
  Visitation will be from 5 to 9 tonight at Stensel's Funeral Home, and from noon until time of service at the church.
  She was born Feb. 7, 1904 at Bentown, a daughter of Otis and Ella Lawrence Woosley. She married Leo Satterfeal Feb. 24, 1922, at Bloomington. He survives.
  Also surviving are five daughters, Vivian Mosson and Juanita Dagley, both of LeRoy; Marilyn Quaid, Wapella; Carol Sieg, Bloomington, and Janet Martin, Hudson; four sons, James, Ellsworth; Vernon, Roy and Kenney, all of LeRoy; two sisters, Tess Martin, Bluffs and Dorothy Wilson, Bloomington; a half brother, Orville Woosley, Bloomington; two stepsisters; 28 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
  A son, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
  She was a member of the LeRoy United Methodist Church, to which memorials may be made, or to the American Cancer Society.
