Text:   J. Bloemer dies April 26 Josephine Bloemer, 81, of rural Effingham, died at 3 a.m. Friday, April 16, at her home.
  Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Green Creek, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bauer Funeral Home, Effingham, with combined CDA and CCW rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a parish wake at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincolnland.
  Mrs. Bloemer was born December 16, 1914, in rural Teutopolis, the daughter of Mathias and Mary (Kahtz) Nosbisch. She married John H. Bloemer in 1938.
  She was a member of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic church, Green Creek, St. Mary Council of Catholic Women and Catholic Daughters of America Court 720.
  Survivors include her husband; sons, David and Jack, both of Teutopolis, Danny of Effingham; daughters, Mrs. Clete (Joann) Deters, Mrs. Steve (Judy) Wells, Mrs. Kevin (Debbie) Weber, all of Teutopolis, Mrs. Jim (Alice) Watson of Effingham, Mardell Flack of Shumway, Mrs. David (Kathy) O'Rourke of DuQuoin, Mrs. Kenny (Diane) Kreke of Mason; sister, Alice Tegeler of Teutopolis; 40 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
  She was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and one grandchild.

Text:   MICHAEL NOSBISCH DIES Michael Nosbisch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mathias Nosbisch of St. Francis Township passed away at the family home Wednesday afternoon, January 4th, 1939, after having been ill with a nervous ailment for about six years. He had been an invalid for some time and was not able to be up and around.
  Michael was born July 30, 1912, making his age at the time of his death, 26 years, 5 months and 5 days. He lived his entire life with his parents in St Francis Township, having attended the rural and the Teutopolis High schools in his youth. He was ever popular with his classmates and friends, who will be saddened to learn of his passing.
  Michael is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mathias (Mary Kahtz) Nosbisch, one brother, namely Christian of near Montrose; and three sisters: Mrs. John (Josephine) Bloemer of Effingham; Alma of Chicago and Florence at home, besides a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, Jan. 7th at 9 o'clock in St. Francis Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial taking place in the parish cemetery in this village.
  This paper extends its sympathy to the parents, brother and sisters of Michael, in their bereavement.

Text:   Mart Nosbisch, 80, Retired Teutopolis Farmer Dies Wed. Mart Nosbisch, age 80, of St. Francis Township, passed away at his home about 10:00 a.m. this Wednesday morning, June 25. Mr. Nosbisch, who was a retired farmer was in ill health for a number of years.
 He was born August 19, 1878, the son of the late Chris Nosbisch and Anna Mersdorf. He and his wife, the former Mary Kahtz, celelbrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in October 1957.
 Surviving besides his wife, Mary are a son, Chris of Montrose and three daughters, Mrs. John (Josephine) Bloemer of Effingham, Mrs Ray (Florence) Buening of Teutopolis, and Mrs. Lawrence (Alma) Tegeler who with her husband and family resided with Mr. and Mrs. Nosbisch. He also leaves 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, sisters Mrs. Joseph Zerrusen and Mrs. Harry A. Thoele of Teutopolis, Mrs. Barbara Schniederjon, Mrs. Lillian Siemer, and Mrs. Lawrence Hoffman of Effingham. Preceding him in death were two sons Michael who died in 1939 and Louis who died in 1926, brothers, John, Chris, and Nick, and sisters Mrs. Katherine Ordner and Mrs. Susan Miller.
 The rosary will be recited Thursday and Friday evening at 8:30 (DST) at Habing funeral home in Teutopolis. The solemn requiem will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Francis Church, Teutopolis.

Text:   Mrs. Mary Nosbisch, Age 80, Dies At Hospital Sunday Mrs. Martin (Mary) Nosbisch age 80 died at 8 a. m. Sunday March 24 at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital, Effingham where she had been a patient for six weeks.
  She was born May 16, and was a daughter of the late Michael and Josephine Hutmacher Kahtz. She was married to Martin Nosbisch in October 15, 1907. The deceased was a member of St. Ann's Sodality and the St. Francis Home Extension Unit.
  Surviving are daughters, Mrs. John (Josephine) Bloemer of Green Creek, Mrs. Lawrence (Alma) Tegeler and Mrs. Ray (Florence) Buening, both of Teutopolis, Peter of Effingham, and William of California; 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

  The body lay in state at the Habing funeral home in Teutopolis where the rosary was recited Monday and Tuesday evening. The Requiem Mass was at 9:30 a. m. Wednesday at St. Francis Church, Teutopolis with burial in the parish cemetery. Palbearers were neighbors Anthony Rieman, Robert Pals, Harold Thoele, Norbert Zerrusen, Arthur Deters and Albert Deters.

Text:   John Bloemer dies Sunday John B. H. Bloemer, 90, of rural Effingham died at 10:02 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2002, at Sunbridge Care & Rehabilitation in Effingham.
  Mr Bloemer was born November 4, 1911, in Effingham, the son of Joseph and Anna (Niebrugge) Bloemer. He married Josephine Nosbisch on November 24, 1935. She preceeded him in death.
  He was a retired farmer; a member of Teutopolis Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society and Effingham County Coon Hunters Association.
  Surviving are his sons, David (Judy) Bloemer of Teutopolis, Daniel (Cindy) Bloemer of Effingham; daughters, Joann Deters of Teutopolis, Doris (Bob) Deters of Teutopolis, Alice (Jim) Watson of Effingham, Mardell Flack of Shumway, Judy (Steven) Wells of Teutopolis, Kathy (David) O'Rourke of DuQuoin, Diane (Kenny) Kreke of Mason, Debbie (Kevin) Weber of Teutopolis; daughter-in-law, Pam Bloemer of Teutopolis, sisters Augusta (Leonard) Unkraut of Effingham, Florence Probst of Island Grove, Minnie Kinkelaar of Effingham, Kate Doedtman of Effingham; forty grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.
  He was preceeded in death by his parents, wife, one son, Jack Bloemer of Teutopolis, two sisters, three brothers and one great-grandchild.
  Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Mary of Help Church in Green Creek, with burial in the parish cemetery. Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Meinhart-Neal Funeral Home in Effingham, with a parish wake service at 6:30 p.m. and a K of C rosary at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to CEFS/Golden Circle Nutrition Program (Meals on Wheels).
