Text:   George J. Wagers MAHOMET (PNS) - George J. Wagers, 78, of 806 S. Walnut St., formerly of LeRoy, died at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday (May 25, 1983) at Cole Hospital, Champaign.
  His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church, Mahomet, the Rev. Dave Goodell officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, LeRoy.
  Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Stensel-Calvert-Belangee Funeral Home, LeRoy, had charge of the arrangements.
  He was born Jan. 17, 1905, at Bloominton, a son of William and Lulu Tudor Wagers. He married Ruth Carlson Dec. 4, 1935, at Bloomington. She survives.
  Also surviving are four sons, Duane and Howard, Mahomet; Raymond, Fithian; and Max, Orange Park Fla.; three daughters, Doris Heath and Joyce Ward, Mahomet; and Rose Moen, Champaign; 22 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Text:   DEATH OF MISS ADDIE WAGERS Passed Away Tuesday Morning With Influenza - Burial at Twin Grove
  The second death from influenza was that of Miss Addie May Wagers, which occurred Tuesday morning at 12:15 o'clock. She lived with her father a little east of LeRoy and was sick but a few days.
  About ten years ago her mother died and it fell to her ___ to be the mother of the home.
  Private funeral services were held at the home yesterday morning at 10 o'clock conducted Rev. C. S. Boyd, of the Methodist church, after which the body was taken to West Twin Grove cemetery for interment.
  The deceased was next to the youngest child of Mr. W. J. Wagers and was born in Kentucky, May 9, 1886, being past 32 years of age at the time of her death. She leaves besides her father, the following brothers and sisters: Malcolm and Joe of LeRoy, Wesley in ___, and Flossie, Amos, and George at home. She was beloved by all her friends and her loss is keenly felt by family ___________________________________.

Text:   LEROY. - William Jefferson Wagers died at 4:50 p. m. Friday at the home of his son, Amos, five miles northeast of Leroy following a weeks illness of pneumonia. Funeral arrangements were not made Friday night.
  He was born May 8, 1855 at Irvin Ky. He came to Illinois in November, 1899 and settled at Twin Grove, near Bloomington. He married Lulu Tudor June 5 1885. She died May 2, 1908.
  Surviving are five sons and a daughter, Max of Clinton, Joe of Bloomington, Wesley, Amos and George of Ellsworth and Mrs. Flossie Flanagan of Leroy. There are three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Sol Kelly of Leroy, Mrs. Arch Wagers of Irvin, Ky., Mrs. Mary Snook and James and Hubert of Missouri.
  The body was removed to the J. H. Iden funeral home, where friends may call until the funeral.
