Text: Ruth Wagers MAHOMET -- Ruth Wagers, 87, of Urbana, formerly of Mahomet, died at 8:35 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 28, 2004) at Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana. Service: 10 a.m. Thursday at Blair Owens Funeral Home, Mahomet, with Rev. Joy Caschetta officiating. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial: Oak Grove Cemetery, LeRoy. Memorials: Mahomet United Methodist Church, Mahomet. Survivors: two sons, Howard Wagers, Saddle Brooke, Ariz., and Max Wagers, Orange Park, Fla.; three daughters, Doris Heath and Joyce Sperling, both of Mahomet; and Rose Moen, Champaign; 27 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and one brother, Donald Carlson, Pekin.

Title: Obituary - Andrew Carlson (1889)
Text: Andrew V. Carlson LEROY (PNS)--Andrew V. Carlson, 87, a retired farmer in LeRoy, died at 2:30 a.m. Thursday at Jackson Heights Nursing Home, Farmer City, where he had been a resident. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the LeRoy United Methodist Church, the Rev. Roberst S. Swain officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Stensel's Funeral home. Mr. Carlson was born Jan. 20, 1889, at Downs, a son of Charles and Jennie Nelson Carlson. He married Amy Leta Sappington Jan 21, 1915, at Bloomington. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Wagers, Mahomet; two brothers, Delmar, Pekin and Donald, Decatur; ten grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by three brothers and one sister. He was a member of the LeRoy Methodist Church and a 60-year member of the Odd Fellows. He was also a member of The Modern Woodman of America.

Text: Amy Carlson LEROY (PNS)--Amy L. Carlson, 82, a resident of Jackson Heights Nursing Home, Farmer City, and formerly of LeRoy, died at 7:50 a.m. Monday at the nursing home. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at LeRoy Christian Church, Jim Williams officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Stensel's Funeral Home. She was born Jan. 25, 1896, at LeRoy, a daughter of James and Mary Wyckoff Sappington. She married Andrew Carlson Jan. 21 1915, at Bloomington. He died Oct. 21, 1976. Surviving are a daughter, Ruth Wagers, Mahomet; two sons, Delmar, Decatur; and Donald, Pekin; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Five sisters and two brothers preceeded her in death. She was a member of LeRoy Christian Church, to which memorials may be made. Memorials also may be made to Jackson Heights Nursing Home, Farmer City.

Text: George J. Wagers MAHOMET (PNS) - George J. Wagers, 78, of 806 S. Walnut St., formerly of LeRoy, died at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday (May 25, 1983) at Cole Hospital, Champaign. His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church, Mahomet, the Rev. Dave Goodell officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, LeRoy. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Stensel-Calvert-Belangee Funeral Home, LeRoy, had charge of the arrangements. He was born Jan. 17, 1905, at Bloominton, a son of William and Lulu Tudor Wagers. He married Ruth Carlson Dec. 4, 1935, at Bloomington. She survives. Also surviving are four sons, Duane and Howard, Mahomet; Raymond, Fithian; and Max, Orange Park Fla.; three daughters, Doris Heath and Joyce Ward, Mahomet; and Rose Moen, Champaign; 22 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
