1. Title:   Obituary - Anton Deters (1866)
Text:   ANTON DETERS DEAD Mr. Anton Deters, farmer in the St. Francis Township vicinity died Tuesday July 29, at his home, at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 12 days.
 Anton Deters was born March 17, 1866 in St. Francis Township the son of the late Anton Deters and Angela Roepke. When grown to manhood he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Pruemer who survives him as do three children Henry and Emma at home and Albert also of Teutopolis. 10 grandchildren also survive. He was preceeded in death by three children who died in infancy John, Edward and Clara, also, two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Pruemer and Mrs. Henry Niendick.
 The rosary was recited at the family home Wednesday evening and will be recited again this evening (Thursday) at 8:30. Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Friday morning in St. Francis Church and burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
 The PRESS extends sincere sympathy to the relatives of Mr. Deters.
2. Title:   Obituary - Gerhard Deters (1828)
Text:   Anton Deters, Sr., Dead. Anton Deters, Sr., one of the best known and respected residents of the St. Francis township died Tuesday night at 10:30 after an illness of only five days. Last Friday he took down with a severe cold and it developed into pneumonia. The deceased has been a resident of St. Francis township for forty-four years and was well known to the people of this community. He was an upright man in every way and lived a useful life. His demise will be felt in the community. Anton Deters was born in Hoelse, Hanover, Germany, on Feb. 7th, 1828. He came ot this country in 1860 and located in St. Labory where he lived for three years after which he came to St. Francis township, living there ever since. he was married in 1860 to Angela Roepkin and was the father of nine children three of whom are living: Mrs. Henry Niendiek of Dieterich, Mrs. Wm. G. Pruemer and Anton with whom him and his wife made their home. His wife is also living and at the present time is very sick. About 21 years ago he made a visit to his old home in Germany. The funeral will take place Friday morning from the Catholic church.

3. Title:   Obituary - Maria Roepkin (1837)
Text:   Mrs. Anton Deters Dead. Mrs. Anton Deters died at the home of her son, Anton, in St. Francis township Friday night after an illnes of long duration. Her death was not unexpected as she had been very low for some time and her age made recovery seem doubtful. She would have been 71 years the 22nd of this month had she lived. She was well known to a large circle of friends having resided in St. Francis twownship for the past 44 years. She was a good women and an upright Christian. Her death will be mourned by many.
 Mary Angela Roepkin was born at Hoelse, Hanover, Germany, on Jan. 22, 1837. She became the wife of Anton Deters in 1860 and to the union nine children were born, three of whom are living. Mrs. Henry Niendiek of Dieterich, Mrs. Wm. G. Pruemer and Anton. In 1860 she came to this country with her husband and located at St. Laborie, Ill., and after a residence of three years there they came to St. Francis township and resided ever since. The funeral took place Saturday morning at nine o'clock from the Catholic church and was largely attended.
