Title: Obituary - Shiv Satterfeal (1873) Text: Shive Satterfeal Funeral Services Held Sunday The funeral for Shive Satterfeal, 91, who died on Thursday, was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Stensel Funeral Home, the Rev. Bernard Johnson officiating. Burial was in Gilmore Cemetery. He was born Sept. 27, 1873, in Russell County, Ky. He married Emma Grammer in 1891. He came to LeRoy in 1920 and worked as a farm laborer until his retirement. His wife died in 1950. Surviving are two sons, Willie, Mansfield; Leo, LeRoy; three daughters, Mrs. Emily Thompson, 114 Greenwood Trailer Court, Bloomington; Mrs. Cora Bailey, Mrs. Sarah Bailey, both LeRoy; 37 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Seven children, a brother and a sister preceded him in death. Mr. Satterfeal was a member of Baptist Church in Kentucky. Organist was Mrs. Effie Huddlestone. Mrs. Wayne, Farmer City, was soloist. Pallbearers were Lyle Wheeler, Glen Walden, Orval Hart, Taylor Grammer, Herb Miles and Lester Brittin

Note: From random stuff of rootsweb: Note: NOTE: Elihu Hart was shot in the hand two times on January 10, 1897. This information was obtained from Linda Grider who works for Russell County. The information was in Dr Joel Scholl's medical ledger. He was the medical doctor for Russell County at that time. Elihu Hart was killed by a hit and run driver at the Downs intersection between LeRoy and Bloomington, Illinois on Route #150 on October 16, 1937.
