 According to naturalization papers Wladyslaw arrived port of New York, New York, April 14, 1907 aboard the SS Batavia which departed from Hamburg, Germany. Former residence Vienna, Austria. Family history indicated Wladyslaw was a shoemaker in the Emperors court. He met and married Kunegunda Knap daughter of Agata and Paul Knap as he traveled to the United States.
 Ship records indicate date may have been April 13, will have to find.
