  He was born Feb. 23, 1934 in Tomahawk, Ky. to John and Esta (Cheek) Daniels. In August 1961, he married Mary L. (Woodard) Daniel, who preceded him in death on Feb. 9, 1999. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired in May 2000 from General Motors Powertrain Division in Defiance. He loved his dogs, Eddie, Jake, Rose and Zsa Zsa.
  He was blessed with three children, Tamera J. (Vincent) Warney of Fort Wayne, Michelle Lynn (John) Baker of Ohio City and Derrick A. (Mark Lugibihl Jr.) Lugibihl-Daniel of Lima; grandchildren, Andrew J. (Lila) Cooper of Montezuma, Elizabeth D. (Ross) Knueven of Ottoville, Caleb Baker of Ohio City and Kaitlyn Jo Warney of Fort Wayne; great-grandchildren, Kolton Knueven and Braden Cooper; brothers, Ernest (Shuba) Daniels of Paulding and Thomas (Phyllis) Daniels of Fort Wayne; sister, Ethel (Harry) Turner, Fort Wayne; a brother-in-law, Douglas DeLong of Paulding and sister-in-law, Sharon Daniels of Silver Springs, Fla.
  He was preceded in death by a sister, Beatrice DeLong; and two brothers, Douglas Daniels and Howard Daniels.
  Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services Shawnee Chapel. Military rites will be provided by VFW Post 1275.
  Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at the Shawnee Chapel.
