a. Note:   Married: December 03, 1744 in New Canaan Congregational Church, New Canaan, Connecticut.
  Ebenezer Carter of Deerfield MA was captured as a child by the Indians in a raid and later returned to his father who had moved to CT. Ebenezer is mentioned in several books concerning Deerfield and the French and Indian Wars. Ebenezer's will sent a loud and clear message that Jonathan Husted was not to touch any property he left to his daughter, Mary.
  Jonathan and Mary seperated in 1773 (no children) and Jonathan was last found in Brookhaven, Long Island, NY when he sold a slave who was known to be from his household in New Canaan with Mary Carter. Jonathan seems to disappear at this time, though some internet information says that a Jonathan Husted stayed loyal to the English and went to Canada after the war.
