Note: Samuel Huestis Jr., the son of Samuel Huestis Sr. and Elizabeth Pell, purchased 30 acres of Salt Meadow from his brother James Huestis in 724. This meadow, located on Boston Road, bordered property held by Thomas Pell Sr., known simply as Pelham Manor. Upon his death in 1773, Letters of Administration were granted to his wife Margaret Hustice, which were in turn were witnessed by his son, Samuel Huestis III.
