  When I was in Stanford, in 1981 as I recall, I discovered the downed tombstones for Jethro and his wife, Rachel, while crawling through
 the tall brush. Their stones were both covered by a thin layer of dead leaves. I set her stone upright in a hole that I dug with a shovel that a Quaker farmer got at his nearby house. Jethro's stone I leaned against a nearby tree. Both stones, especially his, were very faint, very hard-to-read. Intially, I thought that his had said John HUSTED. However, this was to be expected, since in the Adriance Library in Poughkeepsie, POUCHER's Book,10,000 Dutchess Gravestones had said that OHN Husted and his wife, Rachel, were buried in the Cheesman Burial Ground, which is why I, excitedly, headed out to that cemetery, which I found only after I called Mr. Buck, a famous Dutchess County researcher.
