It should be available in two days. I have concentrated on three of thier sons--Peter, Thomas and Ephraim. They and thier descendants settled in Iowa in the 19th century in Des Moines, Henry, Clarke, Madison, Adams, Montgomery, Page and Warren other counties. Any corrections would be appreciated. I did this work in conjunction with my newsletter, The Flint River Company of 1850, about a wagon train that went to CA from Des Moines Co., IA. Ephraim Husted and William Husted, son of Peter Husted, were on this wagon train. Rhoda Husted, daughter of Thomas Husted, married another member of the wagon train, Rober Grimes, after he returned to IA. Also Samuel T. Saint, husband of Hannah Husted was on the wagon train. Hannah was a daughter of Peter Husted. One of the prominent descendats of this Husted family was Warren M. Lee, grandson of Ephraim Husted and Nancy B. Welch. In Red Oak, Montgomery Co., IA, Warren wrote and acted in several plays at the local theatre. He went onto study acting and teaching at University of Iowa, and later University of Minnesota and University of South Dakota at Vermillion. There he became dean of the Dramatic Arts Department and helped create and direct in the Black Hills Playhouse in Custer National Park, SD. His play, The Legend of Devil`s Gulch, opened in 1948 and ran for 33 summers. On a more sensational note, Amasa D. Wycoff, grandson of Ephraim Husted, lived in Valisca, IA in 1912 at the time of the Villisca Axe Murders. Amasa lived two block away from the house of Joshia B. More, where an early morning intruder killed Joshia, his wife, thier three children and two children of another family staying overnight.
