Note: Thelma "Pat" Darby, age 90, of West Chester, formerly of Plymouth Meeting, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, in the Brandywine Hall Nursing Center.
She was a retired bank executive for Conshohocken Federal, Commonwealth Federal and Freedom Valley Federal banks.
Mrs. Darby was born in Philadelphia the daughter of the late Albert and Hilda Fell Thielen. She was the wife of the late Edwin Anderson and the late Dr. Walter S. Darby.
Pat graduated from Girls High in South Philadelphia. She resided in Plymouth Meeting from 1950 to 2006. Pat was the first female vice president of Freedom Valley Federal Bank, retiring in 1985.
She was an active member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Lafayette Hill as a council member and building committee member and volunteered her time in many other capacities. Pat was also involved with the Whitemarsh Lioness Club and the Questers.
She is survived by a son, Albert W. Anderson (Sonja) of West Chester. She was predeceased by a son, Ernest Anderson.
She is also survived by her grandsons Todd (Lynne) and Shawn Anderson; great-grandchildren Griffin and Logan Anderson; stepgrandchildren: Chris (Lyndell), Scott and Steven Darby; and stepgreat-grandchildren: Mike and Meghan Darby.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 3025 Church Road, Lafayette Hill.
Memorial life celebration services will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will be private in the church cemetery.
Contributions may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 3025 Church Road, Lafayette Hill, PA, 19444.
Funeral arrangements are by the Lownes Funeral Home of Lafayette Hill.
