They named him Daniel Wesley. In his younger days he worked for Mr. Snowberg as an electrician later taking up carpentering and decorating. He lived in Plymouth most of his life. Twelve years ago his health began to fail and on January 6th 1947 he had a stroke which caused his health to fail rapidly until two weeks ago he became very ill and on Monday July 28th, 1947, at 8:00 am o'clock he died, cause being a stroke. He was 62 years, six months, 21 days old. Surviving are his wife Marie; four sons, Francis of Chicago, Richard of Gary, Daniel Jr., John at home, one daughter, Katherine Rose at home; one daughter Marie Josephine preceded him in death 16 years ago at the age of six years. He leaves also five grandchildren, Ethel Marie Harris, Edith Ann Harris and Danny of Gary; Leona Harris and Patricia Harris, of Chicago; four sisters, Mrs. Lillie Godfrey of Granger, Mrs Lizzie Greenwalt of Kendallville, Mrs. Fay McConahy of South Bend, Mrs. Bertha Weiser of Mishawaka; one brother John Harris of Benton Harbor, Mich.; nieces nephews and cousins. The body was taken to Danielson and VanGilder Funeral Home where services were held. Rev. Woods of the U B Church officiated, burial was in Memorial Park. He was a good and kind husband and father and lived a quiet life. He ran a moving picture show in the old theatre years ago. How sudden was the call of one so dearly loved by all. A bitter grief, a shock severe, it was to part with one so dear. We often sit and think of you .......e things you used to do, .........the happy days gone by .........your tender smile.
