Jan. 4, 1962 P.14 (DN) Twin Falls Times-News Thursday, January 4, 1962 Services Set Thursday for Area Man, 87 BURLEY, Jan. 3 -- Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Joseph Payne memorial chapel for Harrison Clay Berryman, 87, who died Sunday night at Minidoka Memorial hospital, Rupert. The Rev. Edward E. Dixon, Methodist pastor, will officiate. Mr. Berryman was born Sept. 24, 1874, at Topeka, Kans., where he attended school. He married Mary Margaret Trout at Dover, Kans., Sept. 21, 1898. They came to Idaho in 1908, homesteading in the southeastern area of Burley. Mr. Berryman helped build canals on the Burley project and in 1930 he and his family moved to the Boise valley. He was a member of the Grange, having served as master here and at Kuna. He was an active member of the Methodist church until his health failed. Mrs. Berryman died in May, 1957. Since that time he lived with his children until he entered the nursing home four months ago at Rupert. Survivors include four sons, Carl W. Berryman, Stockton, Calif.; Glenn Berryman, Burley; T. S. Berryman, Fallon, Nev., and Clark C. Berryman, Meridian; two daughters, Mrs. Madge Kershisnik, Portland, and Mrs. Margaret May, Elk Point, Nev.; one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Eddy, Topeka, Kans.; 16 grand children and 14 great-grandchildren. Final rights will be held in the Pleasant View cemetery. Friends may call at the Payne mortuary Wednesday afternoon and evening and Thursday until time of services. The Press Democrat, Santa Rosa, CA Sunday, November 18, 2001 Harrison & Margaret (Trout) Berryman (deceased) were mentioned in their daughters (Margaret) obituary.
