Note: N12 Balsar Munshaw is the son of Katherine & Johannes H M Mundshauer. Johannes landed on the ship Loyal Judith on 1743 Sep 2 at Philadelphia, Penn. . In the spring of 1792 Balthazar & his wife Katharine children: John, George, Jacob, Betsy & Polly & Christian Hendricks started out.. They had a huge Pennsylvania wagon, pulled by a yoke of oxen & a team of horses. They also brought 3 cows & when they camped the cows were milked, butter churned & bread baked in an old fashioned bake kettle. They lived on Lot 35, Con 1 East Side Yonge Street, Markham. This later became the Jail Farm (now turn down) & William Munshaw was WILLED this large farm by his father. . c1797 Balser Munshaw of village of Richmond Hill, sought a wilderness home along Younge Street, it was bound necessary to his canvas top conestoga wagon apart & drag the wheels & axles & other equipment up the steep hill by means of strong ropes. Miller that he never made any improvement oaths lot since the date of there Order in council on 21st June, 1794, & that Balser Munshaw has built a house & made a considerable improvement on the lot. The Committee humbly submits the propriety of descending the assessment to Barbour & granting a patent for Lot 35 East Side Yonge St. to Munshaw he paying fees [for surveying].
